Katharine Stone has painted a beautiful canvas for our pop-up Tree of Life game which will have its first outing at The Friends Fete on July 2nd. Come and see us there at St Martins Hospital Canterbury from 12noon.
After that we’ll be ‘popping up’ in the Coastal Park during Folkestone Triennial Fringe, weekends July 23/24, 30/31 and August 20th.
Meanwhile the Tree of Life project is rapidly expanding with more packs being sent out. And Sandra has taken papermaking workshops at the Trevor Gibbens Unit in Maidstone.
All paper made during the workshops will be turned into leaves for the Tree of Life exhibition in October.

PAPER MAKING WORKSHOP

Members of Faversham Umbrella Club took part in a paper making workshop led by Sandra Pearson. Recycled shredded paper was used to make the sheets with the addition of some dried garden flowers. The paper will finally be cut into leaf shapes and decorated for the Tree of Life exhibition in October. See more photos of the workshop HERE.
More paper making workshops will take place at the Trevor Gibbens unit in Maidstone and Canterbury Umbrella Centre.
Lots more people have sent for Tree of Life starter packs. There's still plenty of time to join in.
And don't forget creative writers can submit a short story or poem on one side of A4 size paper to be included in the book of the Tree of Life.
